More About Megan
Outdoor Recreation & Adventure
I love everything outdoors: hiking, whitewater rafting, skiing, biking, camping, and so much more.
I have worked as a whitewater river guide for several companies in the west and been a whitewater expedition leader for NOLS.
The Arts
I love to fill my life with photography, dancing, painting, singing, theatre, and playing in jazz bands, orchestras, and concert bands whether in church, at a festival, or a community group.
I have been a featured photographer in the Stroll Caughlin Ranch, Stroll Peavine Peak, and Stroll Mount Rose magazines.
Teaching, Coaching, & Instructing
I have taught photography for the Mono Arts Council youth camps, Coleville High Photography and Career Cafe, and assisted in Sierra Nevada College's summer landscape workshop. I have taught PE, substitute taught all subjects, grades, and abilities, and coached volleyball and basketball in Coleville and Mammoth Lakes. I have traveled across the west instructing Wilderness Medicine for NOLS.
Travel & Culture
I wish I could travel and explore more. There are so many amazing places, experiences, and people in this world. I have travelled to Kyrgyzstan with Visionary Wild, Patagonia with NOLS, Europe for fun, Ecuador for a mission trip, Israel for a church trip, and the United States for a variety of reasons, all with camera in hand.
Work & Volunteering
I have volunteered for organizations like Access Mammoth, formerly known as Disabled Sports of the Eastern Sierra and the Mono County Sheriff Search and Rescue Team.
Aside from photography, guiding, teaching, and instructing, I have worked in several restaurants, banquet serving, and special events crews. In addition, I have been a physical therapy receptionist for Summit PT and am a PT tech/aqua therapy tech for Carson Valley Health.
